The Dining room becomes the Reading room

~Before~
 my cute little dining room

needed a chandelier
and something on the wall

maybe a little paint & something
~different~
 on the wall

Perfect right?
Not!
The Hubs wanted something different....
We moved the dining room chandy and all to the area
between the kitchen and family room

so look what ended up in the old dining room...
Cozy little reading room with not enough light
a light fixture is coming....
Three weeks and counting

  1. I think a reading room is a great idea. It looks like a great space to curl up with a book.
    Happy New Year!

  3. I'd take a reading room over a dining room any day - you can always put a table in the reading room, the living room, the hall etc for a dinner party, but a reading room is pure, unadulterated indulgence!

  4. Oh I love this idea! I hate (I know that is not a nice word) my dining room. I painted it just before Christmas, and I still can't get it right. When it comes right down to it, I just don't like the room. We only use it when hubs office party is done here. It is wasted space to me! I wonder if hubby would consider this? Again, I love it!

  7. Love your makeover of the dining room. It looks a lovely area to sit and relax with a book or have a cuppa with friends. Your dining table looks right at home next to the kitchen too.
