So I'm in

This is in my kitchen

A very unusual bar type sitting area

see the top of the faucet just behind my computer

great for when we have parties as there is a step down

and the bartender stands back there

but that's like once a year so...

pretty much doesn't get used

as a bar but instead where we eat

and compute!

You can see Spanky's bed at the far right side of the table

He has a great view too

He knows the Fed-X & UPS drivers

carry treats just for him

He waits all day

in hopes they'll make a  stop

That's my chair 2nd from the right

The reason I sit here and not in my office

is this.....

I was born and raised in the N.W.

 Mt Rainer & the Puget Sound 

are home

I am so lucky to live where I can see them

I don't take it for granted

not for one second

How I started Bloggin

I just discovered a new blog today that I love

A beautiful nest

I love her style

so I became a follower....

She is having a giveway to an online store

I have heard so much about

 this place has

tons of stuff to browse through

could take months to see everything...

So I am blogging here about it so that I might

win

I never win but I keep trying

Which brings me to a point.....

Blogging

It is really a fantastic way to meet new people

and learn so much

no matter what your interests are,

Mine is decorating

can't get enough of it

I love every style even if I wouldn't have it in my house

I appreciate it all

There are so many very talented, creative, and really nice  people

out here in

Blogland

I am grateful that I found this form of socialization and education.

and there was a caption that said

"check out my blog"

I had no idea what a blog was but I

checked it out...

that was back when she had a couple hundred followers

now she has

almost 3,000!!!!!!

But the best part was that she lived by me!

So I got to stalk her at street fairs selling her wares

and her open house at Christmas time

I act like a fan to movie star when I see her

all giddy....

She is adorable and sweet and the best Mom

making all sorts of goodies for her kids afterschool

I just bought a new piece from her, it is sitting in my Hub's Truck waiting to go into

"The beach house"

aka... apt above the garage

I can't wait to fix up that room

I am sure I will be bloggin about that

So anywhoo....that is how I starting

I don't know how to put beautiful pictures that I come across

~Projects at the Reunion~

Every year at the

Reunion

The guys must come up with a project

They can't just sit around all day...

This year it was fixing the

lighting on the wall

seems they didn't put the wires

in conduit and in harsh Montana winters

that's not good....

so 3 days and many trips to Ace Hardware

we have lighting all the up the driveway

The 10th annual Reunion

This was the 10th annual Forcum Family Reunion

....we have had 7 at our place in Montana...

I wish I had pictures all organized from years prior

I will work on that

I have the last 2 years

Last year the weather for the first time did not cooperate and we had

cold, rainy, windy weather

The clan had to gather for meals

in our tiny little farmhouse

30 some people and 8 dogs

Yikes

However as it turns out....

seems I needed a bigger

dining room table

Yeah

The Hubs didn't like this much

His sister said she would take the

Heat...

didn't work that way

I suffered through it

But this year all was forgotten

he's used to the table being where his favorite

couch once was

This is a butterfly table

pulls out to almost the entire size of the room

And I guess the TV was a problem

needed to be bigger

Ok I can

There was much celebrating in this

tiny little house

This was the last picture taken of our little

Kramer last year...I still miss him so much

Sour dough pancakes that have

been in the family for many

years

Aunt Linda has the starter

that originated in Alaska

Between her place and mine the

group gets fed

Nancy's first meal in 3 days

she was so sick with the flu

but she wouldn't miss the

sour doughs

This was her for 4 whole days

poor thing

meanwhile outside

things started happening....

Tractors were starting...

boats were put in the water

and some went

zip lining....

I don't have pictures of that

didn't go myself

But I did go watch the boating..

please, please can I go again?

vacation

at our little farm house in

doing yard work and hosting a

family reunion

we just got home after a

10 hour drive

enough whining.....did I mention

it is 100 degrees here in

Seattle???
