Has Spring Sprung?

I just got home to Washington....
From Washington...
D.C.

It was so warm there...
and the cherry trees were blooming

At home it is grey and
~cold~

But my neighbor told me yesterday,
 when she stopped by to welcome me home
that when she goes past
my driveway it brightens
her day..
~Awhhhhh~

because of these
Heather

Notice where the lamp on the stone is gone
last year our huge maple tree fell
during a wind storm
I can't find another one to match

There is lots to do
to clean this place up
we are waiting for a few good
warm sunny days...

Next to come up are the daffodils
I love
~ Daffs~
They are just so
~happy~
 we have a daffodil parade every year
in Puyallup
just a few miles away

The Hubs mom worked her whole life in the
bulb fields in Puyallup


Getting back to my daffs...
This picture was from last spring
See the huge tree to the right
and the lamp on the stone
both gone!


I can't wait...
just a week or two
and
Spring will have Sprung!

    I wondered lonely as a cloud that floats on high or vale and hill.... then my heart with pleasure fills and dances with the daffodils.

    OK-I'm number 97! Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving your comment about the pie. It really is good and easy to prepare. The daffodils in my yard bloomed about 3 weeks ago (I live in South Carolina.) I am curious about your heather. How long will it bloom like that? It is beautiful, especially with the color of your home.

    Kathy, love the heather and the daffodils will be so pretty again when they come up. The ones around here are bout gone. What is planted on the ground, ivy?

    YOur picutures of the beautiful cherry blossoms in DC make me want to visit. My daughter lives on Capital Hill and I love to visit DC during cherry blossom time!

    I am so envious of your heather! I have one tiny patch and am excited that it bloomed so well this year. I have lots of daffs and plant more every year.
    Your driveway is really lovely.
    I'm so tired of the grey rain - don't you think it's time for some sunshine up here?

    I was 102 so you're no longer a newbie. I've tried to grow lavender but it stays so puny. We're in western NC so I might look into heather. It is beautiful. Looking forward to getting to know you.
