...Tomorrow we're off

Every year we go off for a week to the "Hubs" convention.   I can't wait.   He has to work, poor guy.
Click on the hightlight name and you can see how cool this place is...Scottsdale Hyatt at Gainey Ranch.

Can I admit that this is my favorite vacation, him working all day and me watching movies in the morning with  room service, then laying in the sun getting poolside service all day, then evenings with his colleagues at the best restaurants?
I will miss my puppy....but that is all I'll miss!

We are missing our Grandchildren today

Just look at this little "Monkey Man"
We have been calling him this since we found out he was a boy

We have also been missing our other Grandson Matthew
you have to check out "his" blog
His parents have the best videos on there that keep us busy

And then there is our little girl Mattie ....
Oh...heavy sigh

.........Master Bath Paint Job

BEFORE

My master bathroom is HUGE.  That is a good thing/bad thing. If one needs to paint then it is a bad thing. The Hubs way underestimated the time this would take when he took on the job.  This was his idea too, so lucky me...look at the size of this wall...yikes
The rest of the house was white and the Hubs has been busy all month with painting it all a very neutral tan, Sherwin Williams Nomadic Desert SW 6107. However in this bathroom with all the caramel colors and "orange" cabinets we wanted a pop of color, but one that would also flow easily with the rest of the house. A long time RMS'r and now blogger friend Debbie suggested a warm mustard and guided me to one of her blogger friends who specializes in color and  she so politely commented on my blog with some ideas and..... viola, bless her heart she came back with Sherwin Williams SW6116 Tatami Tan.  This was very close on the color wheel from the Nomadic Desert and we raced off to the paint store!

So here it is done, what a perfect solution that I couldn't have figured out by myself. Thank you Donna  for being so generous and helpful.  I love the blog world.  I have found for those of us that struggle with design we are helped by the fortunate few gifted ones, how can we ever repay them for this, that is what I struggle with.

The next post should be HELP, what to do with this 12 foot long wall, I want this bathroom to feel like a spa, is there any hope???

Charlie's Home

All the worry for nothing, Charlie is home and loving his family.  Still haven't gotten pictures from the kids but I will post them as soon as they come.  How grateful we are that we have a healthy new little man to love.

Happy Birthday Rheannon "Annie"

Thirty years young.
A husband, two beautiful children and a lifetime ahead of you.  It only gets better from here.  I wish I had access to my pictures to be able to put them all up here, but these from our visit with you last fall will have to do for now.

Love you Sweetheart and my heart is with you right now during this challenging time, I just know everything will be as it should be with Baby Charlie at home and in your arms very soon.

Charlie is here!

Our little Charles Matthew was born Germany time March 9th at 9:30 a.m. and weighed in at 8lbs 11oz and 21.65 inches.

That is the good news.  After laying on his mommy's chest and trying to nurse he stopped breathing after funny little coughs and he was rushed back to be resuscitated, they estimated that he had stopped breathing for approximately 4-7 minutes and that gave him some brain damage.

Charlie is in ICU and he has cold towels around his head and he is laying on cold blankets to heal this for another couple of days. They are giving him some sedation medication so he doesn't feel the pain of the cold.  He has a horrible lung infection that he is being given antibiotics for. In 8 days he will have an MRI to determine if all the damage that was done will have been healed.  We are all very optimistic by the Doctors conversations today but could sure use all the prayers you can send our way.

Annie is doing great, it was a long labor but with such a big baby that is to be expected.  She is so sad to not have Charlie with her and my heart aches for her.

They are going to try and get pictures on the computer soon and I will post as soon as they do.

Oma is pretty sad but optimistic.
