so I call them

~Rhodies~
They are the
~Washington State Flower~
voted by 15,000 women in
1892

Aren't they gorgeous

I didn't realize how much I missed them
until we moved to Montana for a few years

no rhodies there

I grew up here in Washington and took them for granted

they are everywhere

 growing wild

some are huge

and some are small

*this one is mine*

I have

white, pink, dark pink

I get to look at the neighbors beautiful
~rhodies~

They have reds, whites, and peach colored

~rhodies~

I love them all and they all say

~home to me~

and we went to the shore and he met a

the kids shoe department

My son says they have a better

Aquarium

than the zoo does

full of Nemo characters

whom Matthew

~LOVED~

Dorey was his favorite..

He didn't want to leave 

 Oma hated to be the one to make him, so...

I  made Aaron meet me in there

 he got to do the evil parent thing of

making a 2 year old do something he doesn't want to

My Son texted me a quote yesterday..

"Children are often spoiled cause no one will spank Grandma"

~I LOVE IT~

Well our fantastic news is that Matthew is going to have a

~SIBLING~

they are due

December 28th

Oma & Opa can't wait

right at the mouth of the harbor

right next to the

much more famous

~Tides Tavern~

Last month...

~Gig Harbor~

had a 4 page spread in

Coastal living Magazine

Folks we are on the

~MAP~

This is exciting stuff!!!!!

Around here everyone knows about the

~Tides~

people come from all over with their boats

for an evening of world famous

~I can say that now~

fish & chips

In the summer my Dad comes with his boat

and a group of friends from Tacoma

usually once a week

and we drive downtown to meet him..

This is the  first place sister Becky wants to go

when she comes in town

seriously right after unpacking

we headed to town

for fish & chips

her favorite place

and their

~cosmos~

aren't bad either

~especially the 2nd one~

See their dock that is usually full of

~boats~

but not on this cloudy day

They sell

~T-shirts~

If you take your picture with their T-shirt on

in front of a famous destination

they will put your picture on their wall

they have hundreds of pictures of people

all over the world

I need to get this copied

the Hubs would surely get on their

~wall~

I love our little

~Gig Harbor~

Do you know what

*Gig*
means?

A small little gig would go into harbors back in the old days

to see if the harbor was deep enough for the big ships to get in

that's what I was told anyway..

~sounds good to me~

We are a tourist town with bed & breakfasts

lots of cute shops and a new museum..

just a short drive off the Bremerton ferry from Seattle

come see us...

The house behind us was

I could not believe

the mess that place was in...

The new owners are cleaning it up

~yeah~

I asked what they were going to do with the

~old couch~

She said it's going to the dump

~take what you want~

OH MY GOSH

I jumped in the car

their clean-up crew even packed it for me

I think this is going to be so

Now comes the hard part....

I am in LOVE with this..

 or something a bit more formal

I wish I was able to get this larger and not so blurry
