Aren't they gorgeous

I didn't realize how much I missed them
until we moved to Montana for a few years
no rhodies there
I grew up here in Washington and took them for granted
they are everywhere
 growing wild
some are huge

and some are small
*this one is mine*

I have
white, pink, dark pink

I get to look at the neighbors beautiful

They have reds, whites, and peach colored

I love them all and they all say
~home to me~

can you grow rhodys
at your home?

  1. Hey there my friend. Beautiful flowers. And no, I don't think Rhodies grow here in Utah. I am not going to tackle spelling the real name. . .! Your pictures are beautiful. So glad you stopped by my blog and left a sweet comment. Hope to hear from you again. Hugs, Karie

  4. Those are very pretty. I don't have any in our yard, but we see them in the North Ga. mountains when we drive through.

  5. We have them here in the "Armpit of Hell" also, only we can't grow them in our yard. The neighbors across the street have them though. They have to be facing the north up agains the house! Looks like they are in full bloom still.

  6. I have over a dozen rhodies plus a bunch of azaleas too - we lived in Eastern Wa. for a while and I so missed them...glad to be back in Western Washington because they are awesome shrubs.

Hope you're having a good week ~ visiting from "Wow Us" Wednesday :O)

    Hugs,
    Marie

  7. I love your "rhodies". I doubt we can grow them in deep south Texas with the heat and high winds, but I would love to try. They're beautiful!!!
Thanks for your visit and comment.
    Have a great day!

  9. We can grow them up here - and they grow beautifully! They're something we take for granted, I guess, until we're someplace where they don't grow at all. Mine are in about mid-bloom right now and I'm loving it!

  10. Growing up, my family had a mountain house in Western North Carolina. The yard was full of rhodies. Beautiful for sure. But alas, living in South Florida doesn't afford me the zone to have any in my life. Oh well....content with my tropicals.:)

  11. All of the Rhodies in your neighborhood are gorgeous!!! The pacific northwest is said to be gorgeous, and your pictures show it!!

AND, I forgot to thank you about the "getting pictures bigger on my blog" thing!!

I did what you said!! I didn't know that is what the sizes that pop up meant!! You are a genius!!
