Shopping Montana Style

Our little
~Nancy~
is here visiting this week
I love this girl
as if she were my own
Her Dad had to be on a conference call almost all day
So we made a visit to
BigFork
One of the best little shopping towns around the
Flathead Valley

Loved this little shop
She made me get this hat
If you live in Montana you must have a
Hat

We had to eat lunch...isn't this funny
Sushi and a cowboy hat

Sake to me Sushi
is one of the best I've had
again...in Montana sushi?

This was last week with my good friend
Lilly
who told us about this place

Montana is getting ready for the fall

This little guy was $2800
He's cute but not that cute.......

There is a lot of money
in Bigfork
Lots of celebrities and
wealthy people
come to retire and
live around
Flathead Lake

so that means ....
great shopping or for me
window shopping

The BigFork Inn
a beautiful landmark
into the town
Isn't she so cute?

Love their sign
and their windows

I couldn't get enough of this building

Not very big in size but huge in
style

Wish I would have taken more pictures of the
beautiful shops
Guess I better go back?

Life on the farm

We have gotten all that we are going to do done!
It has been 2 weeks of never ending yard work
getting ready for our family reunion
they will all converge
tomorrow
I made a vat of potato salad
and the fridge is full
so bring em on......

We call this a farm, we don't farm anything
a few years back in Vermont we saw the cutest little
sheep
we had to have some of our own
aren't they just the cutest

The Hubs created this monster
He weed eats all around the posts

Can you imagine weed eating all around this place?

He also mows, his favorite thing to do, really...
I think men like to mow because
then they don't have to hear us ????
See him out there?

This little guy got a make-over a few years ago
isn't he cute?

Almost 5 acres of mowing...

The poor little willow died this year in a
huge fall frost, we think he might come back
I loved this willow he was so beautiful

We love "ole green" look how loaded down
with red rock he is...3 loads this year

Lots of work to unload it but worth it!

The North side gets mowed with the tractor

The valley is hazy today with smoke from
the fires in Canada

Some people are out having fun on the lake,
but no we are working hard
there is no rest for my Hubs......

Wait what's this, and Spanky too

I guess he deserves it!

succulants
but I love them....

Some more yard
~before & afters~

The Hubs and Brother Bill made this wagon.....
very cool, but I only filled it with flowers 2 years
too much work watering and
tough seeing the deer destroy all that
hard work

Our 5 acre
*working farm*
the only thing working on it is
US

We have the most beautiful green lake
no one really knows why it turns
such a beautiful color

~Before~

newly pecked by
Woody Woodpecker.....
